Initial survey of the site completed

The initial survey of the site is now completed. Land Survey Group have done a very good job of surveying the site, marked down everything down to the hedges and trees, and taken down both elevation data as well as your typical measurement data. To give you an idea of how comprehensive the survey is, here’s a portion of the survey. In the middle it’s the existing bungalow at 159 Chisholm. Then it also has detailed drawing for 157 Chisholm and 161 Chisholm.

Survey

In the back year, it marked down all the structures and even have the tree coverages and diameter marked down.

Survey

Land Survey Group included 6 real copies stamped together survey report. They have also provided me with PDF file for the survey as well as AutoCAD DWG files via email. Very professional service. The price might be a bit high, but according to my architect is still very reasonable. I purchased the custom home builder’s package. So this is only the initial boundary & topographic survey. The package also included  the lot grading plan, construction layout services, “as-constructed” survey, and the final lot grading certificate. This initial boundary & topographic survey cost $1800.

Now compare that with the “survey” I was given for the 157 Chisholm property shown below. This is night and day. I can hardly read what my survey says for 157 Chisholm. And the “survey” contains no real data at all.
