Garbage cleanup

This week, Saturday and Sunday are two pretty nice days, but next week it looks like it will be raining nearly every single day. So I decide to do some clean up during the week end. I wanted to move all the construction debris to a single place so that I can call in junk removals to remove the pile of garbage left behind by all the construction activities. I’ve got a huge pile of garbage in the back of the house, and it took me a long time to get everything moved from back of the house to the font. Then I wanted to clean up every level from basement to 2nd floor so all the garbage are in front to be picked up with the rest of the construction debris.

Here’s what the back of the house looks like and the end of my clean up effort. Nice and clean now.

For the basement, I removed the thermal blanket that was put around the footings. I also removed some left over forming wood blocks as well as things that the framer has dropped into the basement. It’s pretty nice and clean now. Just the sandy ground and some small piece of steel rebars that I decided to just left in the basement to be covered by the basement floor.

Swept the whole first floor clean. Removed most of the saw dust, nails, and small left over wood pieces.

While cleaning up the 2nd floor. I stepped on an piece of wood, it slid and I lost my balance, ended up twisting my ankle. So I ended up with a not so good job on the 2nd floor. Still majority of the saw dust, small left over wood pieces and so on are cleaned up.

Looks pretty good from afar.

Here’s what the front looks like after I move all the garbage to the font. Yeah I’ve got a huge pile of garbage now. Will be calling the junk removal in the beginning of next week to get rid of this pile so I have room of the next pile that’s yet to come.
