Temporary drainage

It’s has been a month since I applied for new water / sewer connection from the city and I’m getting no where close to get the work to be performed. Meanwhile because I have a flat roof and the inside plumbing is not done yet for the roof drains the water are pouring into the house every time it rains. So I decided to get some temporary remedy for it. I bought some soil pipes from Home Depot and hooked it to the roof drain.

Prepare for stucco (EIFS) day 2

Salman Ibili and the crew from Discover Stucco Plus is here setting up the rest of the scaffolding for stucco. Okay I call it stucco because that’s what it looks like when finished and a lot of time that’s still what people call it. But this is really an EIFS or Exterior Insulation Finishing System. I will refer them by their proper name from this point on.

Today they’ve got the scaffolding completed and they will start the EIFS work on Saturday.

Rear entrance door installed

Got the rear entrance door installed today. It has to be installed so that the stucco work can complete on the back. The area around front entrance door will have wood cladding. So the front entrance door can wait until later.

This is a very heavy door. Thermally broken aluminum door with a dual pane tempered glass. A 60″ vertical ladder pull is used as the door handle. The ladder pull is offset toward the middle of the door to give access to the lock. For the lock, it is paired with a digital lock that accepts a normal key, a key code, or a RFID tag, and it has an electric motor that will automatic lock / unlock the door.
